Applications and Usage
For winter road maintenance, dihydrate calcium chloride is applied at 20–40 g/m² depending on ice thickness and surface temperature, effective in conditions above -20°C. In dust control, a 15%–20% solution is sprayed on unpaved roads and storage yards to bind fine particles. In water treatment, it is used as a flocculation aid and pH adjuster. Recommended storage is in a cool, dry area away from direct sunlight.
